Metro Platform

The Greenbelt Metro Station has an island platform (Washington DC Metro) and two side platforms (MARC). Each train goes in two directions named for the last stop on the line.

Metro Parking

All Day Parking:

There are 3,399 parking spots. Cost/day is $5.10. Parking fees are collected upon exit from 10:30 AM to Metro closing hours. Parking fees can be paid using SmarTrip® Card and credit cards.

Short-term Metered Parking:

There are 201 parking spots. Parking is available from 5 AM to 2 AM, time limit is 12 hours. The rate is $1.00 per 60 mins. Meters at short-term parking spaces accept only quarters and $1 coins.

Additional Spaces:

West - 28 short term metered spaces. East - 33 short term metered spaces. Oversize lot - 60 spaces. West - 104 spaces metered for 12-hr. East - 33 spaces metered for 12-hr.

Reserved Parking:

There is reserved parking at Cherrywood Lane at CSX/MARC RR, access off exit 24 of inner loop I-495. The reserved rate is $45. Monthly permit holders are required to pay the daily fee each time they park. The daily fee is in addition to the monthly permit fee.

Overnight Parking:

The Greenbelt Metro Station provides between 15 and 17 spaces allocated for multi-day use of up to 10 days. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no charge for multi-day parking beyond the regular fee. Access Multi-day parking by entering the parking lot through the Cherrywood Lane entrance and following signs to the spaces. Park in spaces signed "multi-day parking."

RV Parking:

The RV lot is an oversized parking area on the south side of the parking lot. The area is ONLY accessible from I-95 Southbound past Route 1. To get to the RV lot, take I-95 North to Route 1 College Park/ Laurel exit. Take Route 1 South (College Park) to the I-95 South exit (right there at the I-95 and Route 1 interchange). Take I-95 South to the Greenbelt Metro Station exit. Follow the signs to the oversized lot. The RV lot is not accessible from Cherrywood Lane.

Bus Connections

The Greenbelt Metro Station connects passengers to other areas in Maryland. Particularly, passengers can transfer to WMATA Metrobus, and TheBus from this station.
