The Whitehurst Freeway
The Whitehurst Freeway is an elevated highway next to the Georgetown Waterfront Park. The Whitehurst Freeway has two sides: The one above where drivers are able to catch a beautiful view of the Potomac River as they drive around Georgetown on the elevated bypass. And the one below, a darkened underbelly of urban highway filled with the constant noise of automobiles rumbling overhead.
