Gallery Place-Chinatown Station is the closest metro station to the Capital One Arena. The station is on the Red, Green and Yellow Lines of the Metro System. Gallery Place is conveniently located directly underneath the Capital One Arena. The station has three exits; leave through the 7th and F Street/Arena Entrance. Capital One Arena

The Capital One Arena is located in the Chinatown/Penn Quarter neighborhood. The venue was built by late Wizards owner Abe Pollin and opened in December 1997 as the MCI Center. It became the Verizon Center in 2006 after Verizon Communications purchased MCI out of bankruptcy. In 2017, the venue acquired its current name.

The Capital One Arena is a 20,000-seat multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility offtering over 220 concerts and shows a year. In addition to the NBA's Washington Wizards and NHL's Washington Capitals, the arena hosts the WNBA's Washington Mystics and Georgetown University basketball team.
