The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden offers year-round entertainment to visitors. The garden includes 17 modern art sculptures of 20th-century artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Roy Lichtenstein, Tony Smith, and Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. Some popular eclectic mixes of art include giant granite chairs, a twenty-foot wide bronze spider, and an army of headless bronze girls just to name a few.

During the spring, the beautiful garden is surrounded by flowering trees and perennials. During the winter, the fountain in the Sculpture Garden turns into a magnificent skating ice rink perfectly laid out in the middle of the park.

If you are hungry, the Pavilion Café in the Sculpture Garden offers pizzas, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and beverages. Also, there are restaurants and cafes near the Archives/Navy Memorial metro station which is not far away from the garden.

Jazz in the Garden: During the summer, the Sculpture Garden provides weekly jazz performances in front of the Pavilion Café. The summer concerts are a popular Friday night entertainment for DC locals and tourists. On a hot day, enjoy the concert while putting your feet in the water fountain, or just sit around the fountain. For a romantic date, relax on a blanket and bring your own picnic. If it rains, the concert will be given inside the Pavilion Café.
