Madame Tussaud is located near Metro Center Station on the Red, Orange, Silver, and Blue lines of the Metro System. Metro Center has four exits; make sure to leave the station through the "11th Street Exit". Madame Tussaud can also be accessed via Gallery Place-Chinatown Station, but you will have to walk a longer distance. Gallery Place has three exits; leave the station through the "7th and G Street/Arena Exit". Use the map and directions below to find suggested routes to Madame Tussaud's.

From Metro Center Station
Approximately 0.2 mile, 3 min walk
Washington DC Tour Leave the station through the "11th Street Exit" (at 11th St NW and G St NW).
Head east on G St NW.
Turn right at 10th St NW.

From Gallery Place-Chinatown Station
Approximately 0.3 mile, 7 min walk
Washington DC Tour Leave the station through the "7th and G Street/Arena Exit".
Head north on 7th St NW toward G St NW.
Turn left at G St NW.

Madame Tussaud's

Madame Tussaud is a famous wax museum housed in the historic Woodies building with the entrance on the corner of 10th and F Streets.

The museum focuses on U.S. presidents, but also includes wax figures of Churchill, Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr. There is a also a more contemporary section including Tom Cruise, Selena Gomez, Oprah, etc.

You may take pictures with any of the figures, and some include props to use with the shots. The museum also has a section where a photographer will take pictures of you with the Obamas at the Oval office desk and in the press room. They charge extra for those pictures if you wish to buy them, but no fee to use your own camera.

Parking

Limited street parking is available on 9th, 10th, F and G Streets, NW and throughout the neighborhood. Spaces are metered with a two-hour maximum. Please note that there are no spaces specifically reserved for handicap parking on the block immediately surrounding the Museum.
