Following a 13-minute orientation film, tour guides will give you headphones for the walking part of the Capitol Tour. Visitors are led up a series of escalators and steps to the Rotunda, an imposing circular room 96 feet in diameter and 180 feet in height. The Rotunda connects the House and Senate sides of the U.S. Capitol Building.
