The Embassy
The Embassy of Cameroon is located at the international center area near the Office of the Foreign Mission (OFM) of the Department of State, University of the District of Columbia (UDC), and the INTELSAT Headquarter.
U.S. Citizens
U.S. Citizens need a visa to travel to Cameroon, whether for business or tourism. Travelers headed to Cameroon need to have a valid passport, visa, and evidence of certain vaccinations. Cameroon does not offer a visa on arrival. Unlike some other countries, you cannot obtain your visa for Cameroon at the airport. If you do not have your visa before you depart, the immigration authorities will deny you entrance.
Please note that even if you are a US citizen of Cameroonian descent, a visa is still required for travel to Cameroon. Cameroon does not recognize dual nationality. U.S. citizens should always present themselves as U.S. citizens to Cameroon authorities. Otherwise, it may impede our ability to provide consular services.
