The Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter Station, on the Green and Yellow Lines of the Washington DC Metro System, is the closest metro station to the Navy Memorial & Naval Heritage Center. The Memorial

The Navy Memorial has a plaza with a 100-foot diameter granite map of the world surrounded by fountain pools, benches, and sculptural depictions of historic events in U.S. Naval history. The Naval Heritage Center is located in one of the buildings adjacent to the plaza. There is no charge to visit.

Hours of Operation

The Memorial is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Naval Heritage Center is open Monday - Sunday, 9:3 0a.m. - 5 p.m. It is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas (December 25) and New Year's

The Naval Heritage Center is staffed during regular business hours. Group tours are available upon request, and there is a free cell phone audio tour available by calling 202-747-3461.
